Why did we start CodingJunky?
The answer is simple...
First - Be independent, be happy and help others be independent and happy as well. Let me explain
Too often software now is bloated and tried to provide all possible solutions in one package (As an example: Office Suites - wow how big can you get? MS Office is now 500MB (.5 Gigs) and besides it's really an extension of Windows no???). Some packages take several minutes to one hour to install (IBM WebSphere Integration Developer 6.1 == 1 hour). Using it is painful because it takes forever to load and, God forgive you, if you do some operation or another that requires a recalculation that affects the entire document, you might as well go for a coffee. But before that you use it you need to learn how to use it... Jeeze, this is an undertaking that could last years. We have entire semester courses in university/colleges devoted to Microsoft Word... So you can write pretty documents for your professor (is this an infinite loop - or what??).
So my question is simple... If software is supposed to simplify your life then why is it sooooo complicated to use? The answer is simple, it's not supposed to be complicated at all. CodingJunky is being stood up to resolve this problem and make your computer and online life easier period. This philosophy has created our motto:
Make it smaller, faster and simple to use
Here are some interesting article about how complicated computers have become and what the average person thinks about them
Paul Fortin is the founder of Coding Junky and is the main junky. Paul has over 25 years of experience with computers and software and has lead many teams to successful project completions.
